About Baja PPG
My name is Michael Purdy and I have been involved
with powered paragliding since I first observed the sport about nine
years ago. Once I saw it, I was completely hooked.
Back then training was, well let's just call it
sketchy. I was lucky enough to stumble across a small group of
local pilots who helped me gain the competence needed so as not to
be a danger to myself or those around me. And life-long
friendships were formed.
One of the things I tell people who ask about our
sport is that it is one of the few things in my life that was more
fun than I expected and remains one of my greatest passions.

Training
I have a passion for training and offer both
foot-launch and wheeled curriculums. I limit my instruction to
two students at a time and have excellent references. I am a
USPPA certified flight instructor and believe strongly that
comprehensive training is the foundation of becoming a safe powered
paragliding pilot. I am extremely proud of my instructional
track record and would be pleased to discuss my methods in greater
detail.
